A light applicator ( 27 ) for medical applications is proposed whose diffusor ( 1 ) comprises diffusion regions ( 7, 8, 9 ) with paraboloidal boundary surfaces ( 11, 12 ) This configuration of the diffusor ( 1 ) permits a particularly good homogenization of the distribution of light along the longitudinal axis of the diffuser ( 1 ).
