<p>Primers, for improving the adhesion of solid propellants of the 'butalane' type to liners, esp. of polyurethane, butadiend-acrylonitrile rubber or PVC, consist of an epoxide resin pref. obtd. from epichlorhydrin and glycerol or bisphenol-, or an epoxidised novolak, or an aziridine, pref. tris-methylaziridinyl phosphine oxide, which may be diluted with a chlorinated or aromatic solvent. The primer ensures the complete polymsn. of the propellant, and stops premature explosion.</p> |
