<p>A body fat measuring device (1A) comprises electrodes (A11, A12, A21, A22) placed in contact with the belly of a subject, an air bag (130) pressed against the belly, an impedance measuring section (12) for measuring the bioelectrical impedance of the subject by using the electrodes (A11, A12, A21, A22), a respiring state detecting section (18) for detecting the respiration of the subject by detecting the internal pressure in the air bag (130), and a body fat amount calculating section (13) for calculating the body fat amount of the subject from the calculated bioelectrical impedance and the information on the detected respiring state. With this constitution, the body fat measuring device can detect the respiring state of the subject with high accuracy and can measure the amount of body fat, especially the mount of internal organ fat and the amount of subcutaneous fat with high accuracy.</p> |
