<p>The method involves operating a guided vehicle in pre-determined and slope-subjected path sections with a speed below a minimum speed that is necessary in case of failure of a drive for reaching a stopping point (HP2) in a driving direction. Vehicle-related measurement data are detected and evaluated in sub regions (TB1, TB2) of the sections, where the regions are determined based on a path topology. Safety of the vehicle is provided by a vehicle brake when the vehicle reaches a safe stop. An independent claim is also included for a device for automatic control of a trace-bound vehicle.</p> |
