<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment, which can control communication according to the power residual quantity of a battery when the communication is performed with external equipment as a host. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic equipment 1 can release connection, when communication is performed with a host PC 2 as a host, by performing no response to the host PC 2 based on the power residual quantity of a chargeable battery 15.
