<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setting reception method and a computer program for enabling a user to easily perform the confirmation of a setting state and the change of setting or the like when a dialog box for receiving the print setting of a printer is provided with a plurality of pages, and a plurality of setting items are set in each page. <P>SOLUTION: A common display area 50 for performing common display is arranged in the plurality of tab pages of a dialog box. The setting states of several setting items which can be set in the dialog box are displayed as a list at a list display part 51 of a common display area 50. Each setting state displayed at the list display part 51 is made selectable by the user, and the display of the setting state is switched according to the selection operation, and the setting state can be directly changed according to the selection operation.
