PURPOSE:To make it possible to give the driver a guide line concerning the change-over between A/C mode and ECONO mode by computing and displaying a ratio between turn-on and -off of a compressor in a predetermined time. CONSTITUTION:A compressor is turned on and off by a temperature sensing element or a thermostat in an evaporator so as to control the temperature of the evaporator or to prevent the evaporator from being frozen. In this arrangement, a microcomputer 32 computes a ratio between turn-on and -off of the compressor in a predetermined time and displays the same on a panel 30 in a bar graph pattern. As a result, the drive may visually confirm the operating condition of the compressor so as to obtain a guide line for selecting A/C mode or ECONO (economy) mode.
