PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a member connecting method capable of maintaining joining strength in the axial direction of a cylinder part and a shaft part, even when a plastically deformed part in the cylinder part is loosened, in a composite member of connecting the shaft part and the cylinder part by plastically deforming the cylinder part of inserting the shaft part. SOLUTION: Female screws 12a and 12b are formed on an inner peripheral surface of a predetermined position from opening parts 11a and 11b of an arm member 10. A male screw 22d is also formed in a position corresponding to the female screws 12a and 12b on the shaft part 22c of a ball joint 20 inserted into the arm member 10. The shaft part 22c of this ball joint 20 is inserted from the opening part 11a of the arm member 10, and the ball joint 20 is rotated around the axis of the shaft part 22c, and the male screw 22d is meshed with the female screw 12a.
