<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a unit for translating a cross language query request, and a method and a system for retrieving cross language information. <P>SOLUTION: The cross language query request translation method includes: the translation of the cross language query request from a source language to object languages, using a plurality of different machine translation systems, respectively; the generation of a plurality of translated texts of the cross language query request in the object languages (S110); and the formation of object language query requests corresponding to the cross language query request, based on the plurality of translated texts of the cross language query request in the object languages. The object language query request is formed by integrating the translated texts of the cross language query request generated by the plurality of different machine translation systems, so as to improve the retrieval performance of the cross language information retrieval system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
