PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means to fix a film-like sample in a sample holder in such a state that the film-like sample is free of deflection or creasing in the sample holder in which the film-like sample is fixed between the sample holder plates with a through hole. SOLUTION: The sample holder is provided with a means to apply a pulling force to a peripheral edge of the film-like sample having a deflected portion. The means moves toward the peripheral part of the sample holder plate while the tip part remains in contact with the film-like sample without slipping on the surface of the film-like sample.
