<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video seek control method for a video reproduction system, in which a controller corrects the reproduction position to the nearest I-frame position when the video is not reproduced from the I-frame, so that an actual seek position may not shifted from a seek position instructed by the controller in seeking, when a reproduction command is issued. <P>SOLUTION: When a user operates a slider 30a of an operation part 5a, a seek command showing a position to start seek is transmitted to a player device 3. If a frame corresponding to the seek command is included in a key frame list of meta data of acquired video contents, a controller of the player device 3 controls a video controller to seek from the frame, and if the position is not in the frame, controls the video controller to seek from the nearest frame. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
