PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member capable of maintaining a high antireflective effect on an arbitrary base material for a long period of time.

SOLUTION: The optical member, wherein a multilayer body is formed on the surface of a base material and at least one layer is a metallic oxide layer 27 having voids, includes at least one layer containing organic resin 26 as a main component between the base material 25 and the metallic oxide layer 27. The metallic oxide layer 27 is a plate-like crystal layer formed by plate-like crystal containing aluminum oxide as a main component and the surface of the plate-like crystal layer has a rugged shape. At least a part of the organic resin has an aromatic ring and/or a hetero ring.
