<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a suitable superposed image from images picked up by an infrared camera and a visible camera. <P>SOLUTION: An identical feature area extracting unit 23 sets areas having the same state quantity in a first feature area in a visible image extracted by a first feature area extracting unit 21 and a second feature area in an infrared image extracted by a second feature area extracting unit 22 as identical feature areas in the respective images. The identical feature area extracting unit 23 acquires distances of pluralities of identical feature areas in the respective images to the first feature area and the second feature area, corresponding to each other by the respective identical feature areas, in the real space, and then sets identical feature areas whose distances are shorter than a predetermined distance or identical feature areas such that quantities of shifts between positions of the first feature area in the visible image and positions of the second feature area in the infrared images which correspond to each other by the identical feature areas are larger than a predetermined value as reference of relative arrangement for superposing the visible image and infrared image one over the other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
