摘要 A method and an apparatus for decoding a signal are provided to vary the virtual location of a listener or the virtual location of a source in consideration of CI or DI and generate outputs signal suitable for the number of outputtable channels. A signal encoding apparatus(100) includes a downmixing unit(110), an object parameter extractor(120), and a control information generator(130). A signal decoding apparatus(200) includes a receiving unit(210), a control parameter generator(220), a rendering parameter generator(230), and a rendering unit(240). The receiving unit includes a downmix receiving unit(211), an object parameter receiving unit(212), and a control information receiving unit(213). The receiving unit receives a DX(Downmix) signal, an OP(Object Parameter), and CI(Control Information) and performs the de-multiplexing, parsing, and decoding of the received signals additionally. The control parameter generator generates a CP(Control Parameter) by using at least one of the CI, DI(Device Information), and OI(Object Information). The CI includes HRTF(Head Related Transfer Function) filter information, object location information, and object level information. If an object signal is a channel signal, the CI can include at least one of the virtual location information of a listener and the virtual location information of multi-channel speakers. If the object signal is a source signal, the CI can include the level information of the source signal and the virtual location information of the source signal. The rendering parameter generator converts the OP by using the CP to generate an RP(Rendering Parameter). The rendering unit renders the DX by using the RP to generate an output signal.
