<p>A method for indexing a collection of presentation files 5 for use in a subsequent search and/or browsing operation is disclosed, the presentation files comprising a plurality of slides for display in a presentation program and being stored in one or more folders of a hierarchical file structure. The method comprises: (a) traversing at least part of the hierarchical file structure to identify the presentation files; (b) from each identified presentation file, extracting the slides and converting each slide to an image format; (c) for each converted slide image, extracting data representing one or more image features; and (d) storing the extracted data as index data in relation to the corresponding slide image to enable subsequent identification of slides having same or similar image feature(s) to that specified in query data.</p> |
