摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for a cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine, which improves combustion and emission by securely strengthening vortex air current formed inside a cylinder by fuel injection. SOLUTION: The control device 1A for the cylinder injection type spark ignition internal combustion engine 50 strengthening formed vortex air current by fuel FE injected to inside of the cylinder 57, includes: an air density confirming means for confirming air density inside the cylinder 57; and a fuel spray control means for controlling at least one of the spray particle size and spray frequency of the fuel FE, based on the air density during fuel injection. Since the fuel spray control means controls at least one of the spray particle size and spray frequency of the fuel FE based on the air density inside the cylinder 57 during fuel injection, effects to assist and strengthen vortex air current when fuel is injected can be securely obtained even when the air density inside the cylinder 57 is changed in accordance with the operation of the internal combustion engine 50.
