The stand has a roller (5) displaced by a drive wheel of a vehicle i.e. kart (15) in rotation. A control computer (11) is provided for recording programs, with which an automatically running measuring process is executed with a testing process of the vehicle when a measuring value of a preset measured variable is recorded by detectors. A simulation unit simulates actuation process of a driver of the vehicle to produce different driving and load conditions of the vehicle during the testing process. A release unit independently releases the testing process when achieving a preset criteria. An independent claim is also included for a method for determining drive and/or safety relevant measured variables of a vehicle by a mobile vehicle testing stand.
