PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means which enables the easy and sure determination of an attitude for inserting a liquid vessel into an insertion opening of a vessel mounting portion. SOLUTION: A vessel body 31 comprises right and left side surfaces 42 and 41 where guides 48 and 47 composed of a protrusive streak 51 and a recessed streak 52 are formed, and a back surface 44 where an ink supply valve 32 is arranged. A first direction in which the protrusive streak 51 and the recessed streak 52 are elongated is different from a second direction in which a liquid flows out from the ink supply valve 32.
