PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which can easily detect embedding information. SOLUTION: The image forming device has a reading color converting part 4 which divides a color reproduction range which can be reproduced by a printing part 10 forming an image into a first color reproduction range used for a reproduction of image data and a second color reproduction range used for a reproduction of embedding information embedded in the image data, and converts the image data into image data having a color component of the first color reproduction range, an image superimposing part 9 generating the embedding information having a color component of the second color reproduction range and superimposing the information on image data, and the printing part 10 forming an image of the image data in which the embedding information is embedded.
