<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intake module which can be miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: In the intake module, a recirculation pipe 60 is provided downward in the direction of gravity in a dead space of a surge tank 31. By arranging the recirculation pipe 60 under the surge tank 31, the dead space can be effectively utilized. Even when the space is limited, the miniaturization can be attained without complicating the structure of the recirculation pipe 60. The condensate generated in exhaust-gas recirculation is discharged together with the exhaust gas to a projecting plate 65 from an opening 66. The condensate discharged together with the exhaust gas from the opening 66 runs along the projecting plate 65, and drops down from a hole 68. At this time, the exhaust gas containing the condensate runs along the projecting plate 65 and a guide 67 onto the side of the inlet-port without running out onto the side of a side wall 34. Consequently, damages to the side wall 34 which are caused by high-temperature exhaust-gas are reduced without incurring upsizing, and the exhaust gas can be uniformly distributed to each inlet port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
