PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker capable of lowering instantaneous maximum power consumption by forbidding simultaneous driving of a plurality of operating means. SOLUTION: When an output of a voice synthesizing circuit is requested at timing t11, the voice synthesizing circuit is driven, and voice synthesized by the voice synthesizing circuit is output. Output requests of a heating power switching solenoid valve and an igniter are then monitored. When the output of the igniter is requested at timing t12 , driving of the voice synthesizing circuit is stopped, and driving of the igniter with higher priority than the voice synthesizing circuit is started. The voice synthesizing circuit is put in a stand-by state. Further, when the output request of the heating power switching solenoid valve is requested at timing t13, driving of the igniter is stopped, and the heating power switching solenoid valve with higher priority than the igniter is driven. Since the igniter is put in the stand-by state in the same way as the voice synthesizing circuit, the instantaneous maximum power consumption of a cooking stove can be lowered.
