The invention concerns sending an email in a communications system. The method involves creating an email including an image; converting the image to html format; and transmitting the email including the converted image in html format. The converted image may be included in a signature block as a logo, banner or special promotion or as a header or letterhead. The image may be added by the email client or email server. The image conversion may be carried out prior to creating the email or on-the-fly as it is created. |
