Method and device for operating an electric machine

The method involves determining an equal input current (I-dc,U-dc) of a control device (1), which is assigned to an electrical machine (3) by an observer depending on effective power balancing of the electrical machine. The modelling of the equal current divider of the control device is detected by ohmic resistance and a changed current divider of the control device. The electrical machine is detected by the ohmic resistance. An independent claim is also included for a device for operating an electrical machine.
