The invention relates to a pressure gauge (1) for measuring and/or monitoring the pressure of a measured medium (14). Said pressure gauge (1) comprises a sensor housing (9) and a measuring transducer (3). A pressure measuring cell (4) encompassing a pressure-sensitive measuring element (5) is assigned to the sensor housing (9) while a control/evaluation unit (16) is allocated to the measuring transducer (3). In order to increase the accuracy of the pressure gauge (1), the control/evaluation unit (16) determines or supplies a step response if the temperature that is detected by the temperature sensor (10; 11; 12; 13) changes drastically, said step response having a sensor type-specific settling time (^Ts). Furthermore, the control/evaluation unit (16) uses the corresponding time-related integral temperature of the pressure measuring cell (4) on the basis of the determined or supplied step response in order to eliminate or compensate the influence of the temperature on the pressure measuring signal supplied by the measuring element (5).
