PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system which shortens a detection time or improves demodulation performance and process stability in an initial synchronization process to be performed on the basis of a signal that a receiver receives from a transmitter. SOLUTION: In an OFDM cellular system of the present invention, a power density of a phase reference signal of a time frame (time frame containing a system information notification signal or a time frame proximate thereto) in channel bands for initial synchronization is improved higher than other time frames.
