摘要 A method to predict a location, intensity and movement of wake vortexes m ay include collecting one or more ground-based measurements related to predi cting the location, intensity and movement of wake vortexes. The method may also include collecting one or more airborne-based measurements related to p redicting the location, intensity and movement of wake vortexes. The method may further include integrating the ground-based and/or airborne-based measu rements to predict the location, intensity and movement of wake vortexes usi ng a wake vortex prediction model selected from a plurality of wake vortex m odels based on a group of inputs or parameters including the ground-based an d/or airborne-based measurements. One method for tracing aircraft vortexes i ncludes directing a tracer from a first aircraft into a vortical flow genera ted by the first aircraft. The method can further include detecting a charac teristic corresponding to the presence of the tracer directed into the vorti cal flow. Based at least in part on the detected characteristic, the method can include directing the flight of the first aircraft, or a second aircraft following the first aircraft, or both.
