METHOD FOR MANAGING SECURITY IN WIRELESS NETWORK AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE SAME

A method for managing security in a wireless network and an apparatus for performing the same are provided to preclude a malicious node by removing items related to the security. A method for managing security in a wireless network includes the steps of: generating a cluster reader encryption key(Kcl) which is used when a cluster reader(121) transmits data to other cluster readers included in other clusters or when the cluster reader communicates with a base station(110) based on a cluster reader encryption seed(Scl) and a unique cluster ID transmitted from the base station(S220,S230); generating a cluster encryption seed(Sci) based on the generated cluster reader encryption key and transmitting the generated cluster encryption seed to at least one node(123)(S240); and generating a cluster encryption key(Kci) which is used when the cluster reader communicates with the at least one node or the nodes communicates with each other based on the transmitted cluster encryption seed and the unique cluster ID(S250,S260).
