<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve energy efficiency of a device by suppressing heat generation of a generator or a motor without complicating the structure of the device. <P>SOLUTION: When request torque Td* requested for a driving shaft is below a threshold Tref, and the absolute value of the target number of revolutions Nm1* of a motor MG1 is below a threshold Nm1ref, and a difference between the target number of revolutions Ne* of an engine and the input number of revolutions Ne of the engine is below a threshold Neref (S150), the motor MG1 is put in a lock state, and the engine is controlled so that target torque Te* obtained by dividing the value which is obtained by multiplying the request torque Td* to be output to a driving shaft 36 by the number of revolutions Nd of the driving shaft by the number of revolutions Ne of the engine 22 can be output from the engine (S230 to 260). Consequently, it is possible to improve the fuel costs of a vehicle by suppressing the heat generation of the motor MG1 without providing any brake for locking the motor MG1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
