The device (1) has an actuating unit i.e. control cable (8), actuating a locking unit i.e. parking brake (F), of a motor vehicle. A driving unit i.e. parking brake control lever (2), drives the cable to be extended along a main direction (Y). A cylindrical gripping unit (6) i.e. handle, is extended along another main direction (Z). A pivot connection (4) ensures the rotation of the lever around a rotational axis (Z1-Z1') that is parallel to the direction (Z). The lever has a main arm (3) conformed to surround an obstacle (9) i.e. gear lever displacement area, on a pivoting course.
