<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance user's convenience of an information processing terminal by indicating the residual capacity of a battery in detail more than before when a battery of different capacity is mounted. <P>SOLUTION: A battery discriminating section 23 in the body 2 discriminates whether any one of two types of battery having different capacities is mounted or not by reading out the signal from a battery type discrimination output section 43 in a battery 4. A voltage measuring section 22 measures the output voltage value from a cell section 41, a threshold determining section 24 obtains a threshold based on the discrimination result, and a decision section 20 determines a battery icon to be displayed by performing decision using the output voltage value and the threshold. The battery icon to be displayed includes at most four battery bars for a large capacity battery, and includes at most three battery bars for a normal capacity battery.
