PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large and thin interior lighting system for a vehicle capable of evenly lighting the whole interior of the vehicle and also improving an illumination stage effect. SOLUTION: In this interior lighting system for the vehicle lighting the interior of the vehicle, a plurality of light guiding members A20, B20 that include light guiding members 22a, 22b having a structure that light emitting surfaces 25 emitting light and incident surfaces 26 on which light is made incident planarly intersect, and light sources with a plurality of semiconductor light emitting elements arranged in parallel opposingly to the incident surfaces 26, 26 of the light guiding members 22a, 22b, are overlapped on a floor surface 7. Emitted light from the light emitting surface 25 of the light guiding plate B20 arranged on the rear surface side of the light guiding plate A20 provided on the interior side is emitted to the interior through the light guiding member 22a of the light guiding plate A20.
