<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technologies of improving the accuracy in the surgery, reducing the treatment time in the surgery, and relieving the load both on an operator and a patient concerning the technologies for improving the accuracy in the result of simulation used in the surgery, especially in the technologies for performing the simulation by using images, etc., obtained during the surgery and making a plan for the surgery based on the result of the simulation. <P>SOLUTION: The surgery supporting system 100 comprises an information processing device 200, a storage device 300, an output device 400, an input device 500, and a data acquisition device 600. The data acquisition device 600 is a measuring device for acquiring surgery supporting information such as the image of an affected area before and during the surgery and the information on the posture of surgical instruments. The region for the surgery and data on the surgical path determined by the simulation performed before the surgery are presented in such a way that the data can be compared with the actual surgical data. Simulation is performed, if necessary, during the surgery, and the region for the surgery and the surgical path information are updated.
