METHOD OF ENHANCING INFORMATION SECURITY IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM AND RELATED APPARATUS

A method for enhancing information security in a wireless communication system and a related apparatus are provided to prevent an error from occurring at a system as well as strengthening the information security by calculating coding bits of a coding bit sequence. A method for enhancing information security comprises the following several steps. A data bit sequence and a user identifying bit sequence are received(302). A CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) operation is executed with respect to the data bit sequence and a CRC bit sequence is generated(304). The CRC bit sequence is masked with the user identifying bit sequence and a coding bit sequence is generated on the basis of equations(306). The equations include the first and the second equation. The second equation is used in calculating plural coding bits of the coding bit sequence on the basis of a most significant bit or a least significant bit of the user identifying bit sequence and the CRC bit sequence.
