A telematics system for vehicles is provided to reduce accidents in driving by rotating automatically a screen when the speed of vehicle is more than a predetermined speed and multimedia information is displayed in the screen. A telematics system for vehicles includes a direction controlling unit(P) for controlling a view direction of a screen. When the speed of vehicle is more than a predetermined speed and multimedia information is displayed in the screen, the screen is converted to a safety mode that the screen is rotated toward a passenger seat by the direction controlling unit. The direction controlling unit includes a housing(200), first and second rail members(310,320), a connection member(340), and a motor(400). The housing includes a guide groove(210), which guides a path of a guide protruding member(110) of the screen. Both sides of first and second rail members, which are connected with each other by the connection member, are rotatably coupled with both lower sides of the screen and moved back and forth. The motor drives the first rail to move back and forth. |
