PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the power control method and power controller of a three-phase AC power source for enhancing the detecting accuracy, such as abnormality as the overcurrents or disconnection of a load while achieving high-accuracy control by suppressing the generation of higher harmonics. SOLUTION: A zero-cross timing is detected by defining any one phase R-S of three-phases as a load power source, and since zero-cross control is performed in a predetermined cycle which is one cycle or more, for example, two cycles, the peaks of the currents of the other phases S-T and R-T will be included in the two cycles so that it is possible to measure the peak current values of the respective phases, and to detect abnormality such as overcurrents or disconnections of a load, based on this measured value.
