摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an engine stall in fuel cut recovery during rapid deceleration. SOLUTION: In a port-injection type engine 1 that executes sequential exhaust stroke injection during normal operation and cuts the fuel supply in accordance with operating conditions, a fuel injection control means 8, upon determining that the deceleration rate of the engine speed is rapid when a fuel cut recovery condition is satisfied, sets the fuel injection timings of the cylinders regardless of fuel injection timing in normal operation such that fuel is injected substantially simultaneously into at least a cylinder that was in an intake stroke and a cylinder that was in an exhaust stroke at the time when it was determined that the fuel cut recovery condition was satisfied.
