PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an intercom system that enables a resident to surely confirm a call from an apartment house entrance device. SOLUTION: The intercom system is equipped with the apartment house entrance device 10 having ten keys 11 for specifying house numbers and a call button 12, a house information board 30 for performing speech communication with the apartment house entrance device 10 by operating a speech communication button 34 in response to a call from the apartment house entrance device 10, and a controller 20 controlling the speech communication between the house information board 30 and apartment house entrance device 10. The house information board 30 has a first call detector 31 detecting the call from the apartment house entrance device 10, and a speech synthesis part 36 and a speaker 37b (speech synthesizing output part) which indicates the presence of the call from the apartment house entrance device in voice when the first call detector 31 detects the call.
