The invention relates to a fastening for glass panes, as well as wall and facade elements which are provided in a frame with a stop edge and a bordering edge. In this fastening of the glass panes by means of a profile arranged between the pane edge and the bordering edge of the frame, completely plane facade surfaces without any projection are achieved. The interposed profile can be fastened non-positively between frame and pane both using an adhesive method and by using a clamping method.
