PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle meter capable of securing visibility of meter against disconnection of a light-emitting diode (LED) while suppressing costs of components. SOLUTION: The vehicle meter 1 includes a variable display function in which light beams of the LEDs 51a to 54a and light beams of the LEDs 51b to 54b with different wavelengths are switched and projected onto a light-transmitting sheet 10 provided to a meter panel 2 so that a first display of the meter panel 2 and a second display of the meter panel 2 are allowed. The abnormality is detected by an AD conversion interface 82 and a CPU 81 for detecting at least the abnormality including the disconnection of the plurality of LEDs 51a to 54a or the LEDs 51b to 54b in an operating state. When the abnormality is detected, an indication for switching the display is provided from the CPU 81 which switches the display to a side without the abnormality. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
