PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid storage tank capable of preventing a disruptive accident due to rocking of stored liquid from taking place with a simple structure, and boosting maximum quantity of liquid to be stored. SOLUTION: The liquid storage tank 1 comprises a cylindrical side plate 3 and a roof plate 4 installed to cover space inside the cylindrical side plate 3, furthermore, a fluid level rocking prevention member 6 or 9 along inner circumference of an upper part of the tank. The fluid level rocking prevention member 6 or 9 extends inward from the side plate 3, and rocks at the time of an earthquake or the like to interrupt a flow of stored oil 7c into a joint between the side plate 3 and the roof plate 4 so as to prevent a damage against the joint.
