A plasma display panel is provided to reduce noise due to the crash of a barrier rib and an upper dielectric layer by forming a recess unit on a position overlapped with a first electrode and a second electrode at the barrier rib. A first electrode(102) and a second electrode(103) are arranged side by side on a front substrate(101). A back substrate(111) is arranged to be opposite to the front substrate. A barrier rib(112) divides discharge cells between the front substrate and the back substrate. A recess unit is formed on a position overlapped with the first electrode and the second electrode on the barrier rib. A height of the recess unit is more than 0.02 times and less than 0.1 times of a height of the barrier rib. A width of the recess unit is over 0.05 times and below 0.5 times than a middle width of the barrier rib. The barrier rib includes a first barrier rib(112b) and a second barrier rib(112a), which are intersected with each other. The recess unit is formed on at least one of the first and second barrier ribs.
