PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump capable of effectively preventing the entering of a foreign substance into a sliding part between a shaft and a sleeve with a simple structure; and a dish washer equipped with it. SOLUTION: Since water having collided with a circumferential surface of a tip of a blade holding part 26c of a base part 26 of an impeller 29 is guided to separate from the sleeve 25 by flowing into a pump chamber 10 from the outside of the circumferential surface of the blade holding part 26c, the volume of water flowing toward the sleeve 25 from the axial direction of the shaft 23 can be reduced, and the volume of water flowing into a space between the shaft 23 and the sleeve 25 on an end surface of the sleeve 25 on a communication opening 30g side can be reduced. Accordingly, when, for instance, water with a foreign substance mixed therein has flowed into the pump chamber 10, deterioration of this pump 110 can be prevented by effectively preventing the entering of the foreign substance into the sliding part between the shaft 23 and the sleeve 25 with a simple structure without adding a new seal member or the like.
