PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and accurately decode additional information. SOLUTION: An image processor 10 is equipped with: a pattern memory 21 for storing, for each identification code, an encoding pattern where M sequence codes are arranged in a two-dimensional manner; and an encoder 20 which converts additional information to be added to a target image to be encoded to an identification code, acquires an encoding pattern corresponding to the converted identification code from the pattern memory 21, applies the acquired encoding pattern to the target image, and encodes all or a part of an image portion to which the encoding pattern has been applied, in accordance with the M sequence codes of the corresponding encoding pattern.
