PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a vehicle body tunnel part capable of efficiently transmitting impact input from one cross member to the other cross member via a reinforcing member provided on the inner side of the tunnel part when the vehicle is subjected to an impact from its side. SOLUTION: A movable protector 19 forming a reinforcing member is arranged on an upper part of an exhaust pipe 13 provided in a tunnel part 5. The movable protector 19 constitutes a heat protector 15 together with a protector body 17 located in the longitudinal direction of a vehicle, and is connected to a connection bar 25 extending in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle via a connection arm 27. The connection bar 25 is hanged from an upper wall 5a of the tunnel part 5 by a compression coil spring 31, and inserted in an upper part in an inclined long hole 29a formed in a bulkhead plate 29. When an impact load is input in the tunnel part 5 from a cross member 9 on a floor 1 in a side impact, the connection bar 25 is moved downwardly in the long hole 29a in a vertical state from an inclined state, and the movable protector 19 is also moved downwardly at a substantially same level as the cross member 9.
