PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high performance reflection type bandpass filter for UWB which can satisfy an FCC standard. SOLUTION: A reflection type bandpass filter for ultra wideband radio information communication has a microstrip line made of a conductor of a non-uniform width on a dielectric layer of a substrate formed by laminating a conducting layer and a dielectric layer. The width distribution of the microstrip line in the lengthwise direction is set such that the absolute value of the difference between a reflection ratio in regions of a frequency f<3.1 GHz and f>10.6 GHz and a reflection ratio in a region of 3.4 GHz≤f≤10.3 GHz is equal to or more than 10 dB, and a variation of a group delay in the region 3.4 GHz≤f≤10.3 GHz is within±0.2 ns. The conducting layer and the microstrip line are composed of a copper foil whose thickness is equal to or more than 2.1μm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
