System and method of wireless spatial locating for numbering, control and remote inventory management of items, with added functions of messaging, identification and renumbering. The system comprises, at least, a locator element or slave (1) positioned on the item; a controller element or master (13) which communicates with the slave (1) via a first link (15); a mobile module or control (14) which communicates with the slave (1) via a second link (15); and a set of beacons (16) which communicate with the slave (1) via a third link (15). The controller element or master (13) receives the radiofrequency, ultrasound or light radiation signal from the various locators or slaves (1) installed in the items and is capable of locating, reconfiguring and inventorying same and sending messages to same to be shown on the displays of the slaves (1).
