A fuel cell system comprises a fuel cell (10), a supply cannel (31) for feeding fuel gas supplied from a fuel supply source (30) to the fuel cell (10), a variable gas supply unit (35) for supplying gas on the upstream side of the supply cannel (31) to the downstream side while regulating a gas state on the upstream side, a control section (4) performing PI control on a gas supply command amount for the variable gas supply unit (35), and an abnormality judging section (4) for judging abnormality of the variable gas supply unit (35). The control section (4) employs a learning term obtained by integrating an I term only when the operational state of the fuel cell (10) satisfies predetermined learning permission conditions as a part of correction term in PI control. The abnormality judging section (4) judges abnormality of the variable gas supply unit (35) based on that learning term. |
