<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biosensor in which a solid component in a sample liquid is sufficiently filtered and the filtered sample liquid can quickly reach an electrode system. <P>SOLUTION: The biosensor is provided with the electrode system on a substrate 1, reactive reagents 22, 23 including an oxidation-reduction enzyme and an electron-transfer mediator, a sample liquid supply path including the electrode system and the reactive reagents 22, 23 and having a spiracle 11 and a filter 4 in a sample liquid supply and between the sample liquid supply path and the sample liquid supply. The sample liquid passes through the filter 4 perpendicular to the substrate 1. The sample liquid after filtration flows in the sample liquid supply path parallel to the substrate 1.
