METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SYNCHONIZING CDS OBJECTS OF UPNP MEDIA SERVERS

A method and an apparatus for synchronizing CDS objects of UPNP(Universal Plug and Play) media servers are provided to increase a synchronizing speed by decreasing a frequency of calling actions of a CDS during a synchronizing process. A synchronizing apparatus(900) includes a synchronization related information receiver(910), a synchronization request receiver(920), a synchronization portion(930), and a storage unit(940). The synchronization related information receiver processes a synchronization setup process. The synchronization request receiver receives a control message for calling a synchronization action of a CDS(Content Directory Service) from a control point. The synchronization portion synchronizes objects by referring to the synchronization related information corresponding to a synchronization related information ID which is received from the synchronization related information receiver.
