<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect communication faults by test data without any failure even if software is reset on a controller side, in an image data transmission system which detects the communication faults using the test data. <P>SOLUTION: A test data output register 42 selects and stores the test data used from a plurality of kinds of test data prepared previously. Only a power-on reset signal is connected to the test data output register 42. A software reset signal from a soft reset register 47 is not connected to the test data output register 42. Therefore, the test data stored in the test data output register 42 are maintained even if the software is reset. Consequently, false detection can be prevented and the detection of a communication fault by test data can be continued without causing the discrepancy of the test data between the controller and the image output device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
